NEW GLOUCESTER — Beth Elaine Prue, 86, of New Gloucester died Sunday, Feb. 28, at Maine Medical Center.

Born in Stuttgart, Kan., the daughter of James Corby and Maude Woodward. She graduated from local schools.

Beth was the caring family matriarch of the family after the death of her husband.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur Prue and James Prue and his wife, Nancy, and family; daughter-in-law, Faye Prue; granddaughter, Elana and her husband, Jason Reed; and great-granddaughter, Eva.

She is predeceased by her husband, Louis; and son, Daniel.

She loved her cairn terrier, “Happy,” who was her constant companion.
