PORTLAND — The Portland Museum of Art is hosting a statewide student art exhibit in recognition of Youth Art Month.

Two Lewiston Middle School students will display their art in the museum from Wednesday, March 2, to Sunday, April 3. There will be an opening reception from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5.

Louise Groover, grade seven, will display her collage. Eva Rockwell, grade eight, will show her self-portrait.

A second statewide exhibit is in Augusta at the Maine Education Association office. This exhibit will be on display until November, with an art opening from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 6. Abby Levasseur will display her mosaic, and Mackenzie Fournier her self-portrait.
