BRIDGTON — Gallery 302 welcomes artist Ezra Boucher to the cooperative of local artists who show and sell their artwork at the gallery.
Boucher uses painting for expressing his ideas, and his innovative use of watercolor paint with a wax varnish is reminiscent of the ancient medium of egg tempera on panel. He likes to capture the uniqueness of those things that make up the world around him, while still using his subconscious to pull out some quite surprising images.
Boucher grew up in Portland. He studied film at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, where he became interested in life drawing and began working with watercolors. He and his wife, an artist, are raising a family on a homestead in Baldwin.
To view Boucher’s latest work, visit Gallery 302 at 112 Main St. in Bridgton.
