BETHEL — School Administrative District 44 Continuing Education has announced its upcoming enrichment classes.

Boston Flower Show: Saturday, March 19. A few spaces are open for this trip where attendees will visit the gardens and exhibits at the Boston Flower and Garden Show at the Seaport World Trade Center. The $65 fee includes round-trip motor coach transportation and admission to the show. At 1:30 p.m. the bus will take attendees to Quincy Market for dinner and shopping on their own. The bus will depart from Telstar High School at 7:15 a.m. and return at about 6:30 p.m.

Ukrainian Egg Workshop: 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, Telstar High School. Attendees will learn the tradition craft of Ukrainian Easter eggs (Pysanky.) The history, traditions, colors and symbols as well as the principles of wax resist method or dyeing will be taught. Those attending will have the opportunity to design and create their own egg. All materials are supplied. Instructor is India Baker. Tuition costs $35.

Ballroom Dancing: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, March 17 to April 24, at Crescent Park School.  This six-week adult class will teach the basics of waltz, tango, cha-cha and swing. Class is geared toward those who have always wanted to take a ballroom class or just want to refresh their memories. Instructor is Bridget Whitman. Tuition costs $60 for singles, $75 for couples.

Defensive Driving: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, Telstar High School, Room 133. This five-hour course will include discussion of collision-avoidance techniques, safety issues, driving habits and attitudes and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways. The course format uses lectures, videos and class discussion/participation. Those completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving records. Instructor is Eddy Naples. Tuition costs $40.

Intro to Careers in the Health Field: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, March 29 to April 5, at Telstar High School, Room 133. This two-night workshop will explore employment possibilities in the medical field. Instructor Haley Tripp has worked in the medical field for many years and can share her experience and knowledge about jobs in nursing, emergency care, mental health care and others. This is a free class.

Hypnosis for Weight Loss: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, March 22, 29 and April 5, at Telstar High School, Room 133. Attendees will learn nutrition information combined with cutting-edge information on exercise to assist in releasing those unwanted pounds without restrictive diets. The instructor will work with students using hypnotic and meditation techniques to enable continued success after class. Those attending should bring a beach chair or blanket and pillow to class. This is a three-week series. Tuition costs $60.
