HARRISON — On Friday, March 25, the Harrison Village Library, at 4 Front St., will offer a performance of the funny, one-act play, “The Actor’s Nightmare,” by Christopher Durang, performed by The Library Players. The doors open at 6:30 p.m..
All the The Library Players will be there, including veteran actors Leah Haney, Tom Littlefield, Sally Jones, Kathy Davis, Mark Hazard and Mike Porter. This is the play recently presented at the Norway Memorial Library where laughter filled the large room.
In the play, poor George Spelvin, an accountant in real life, dreams he has strolled onto a stage and finds that he is a replacement for an injured actor. He tries to perform, but the play’s actors and costumes keep changing faster and faster until George completely panics. The audience can’t help but laugh and sympathize with George’s mishaps.
After the show, members of the audience will have a chance to share similar amusing dreams that they have had. The show is free but donations are welcome to defray production costs.
