RUMFORD — Among the calls answered by the Police Department recently were:

* March 23, 7:41 p.m.: Cpl. Lawrence Winson arrested Matthew Pulsifer, 19, of Rumford on charges of violating a protection from abuse order and refusal to submit to arrest. Pulsifer is to appear May 9 in a Rumford court.

* March 23, 4:51 p.m.: A Rumford resident reported the theft of a pair of shoes from her porch. Cpl. Winson is investigating.

* March 22, 12:41 p.m.: A Rumford resident reported being assaulted by a co-worker. Patrolman James McLamb is investigating.

* March 20, 10:21 p.m.: April Spadea, 35, of Rumford was arrested on a charge of operating after license suspension on Oxford Avenue. She was released on $800 bail and is to appear May 9 in a Rumford court.

* March 19, 8:19 p.m.: Jesse Milledge, 23, of Rumford was arrested on Hancock Street on a charge of unlawful possession of a drug and operating after license suspension. He was released on $1,200 unsecured bail and is to appear May 9 in a Rumford court.

* March 18, 11:33 p.m.: Adam Cormier of Rumford was arrested on a charge of probation violation on Oxford Avenue. He was transported to Oxford County Jail in Paris and held without bail.

* March 18, 10:31 p.m.: Taylor B. Carey, 22, of Rumford was arrested on a charge of attaching false registration plates and given a summons on a charge of possession of a usable amount of marijuana. Carey is scheduled to appear May 9 in a Rumford court.

* March 17, 5:37 p.m.: A Route 2 business reported the theft of wood and other items. Patrolman Matthew Desroches is investigating.

* March 17, 3:47 p.m.: Tammy Daggett, 45, of Mexico was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fine by Patrolman Lawrence Briggs. She was transported to the Police Department and the warrant was vacated when the fine was paid. Daggett was released.

* March 17, 7:19 a.m.: Patrolman Matthew Desroches investigated a burglary on Franklin Street. Two Mexico juveniles were charged with burglary and theft and are to appear May 23 in court.

* March 16, 5:17 p.m.: Jeffrey Hanson, 57, of Dixfield was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fine by Patrolman Lawrence Briggs. Hanson posted $406 bail and was released from Rumford Police Station.
