DURHAM — Voters at the town meeting Saturday will decide whether to file a petition for withdrawal from Regional School Unit 5.

If residents approve, there will be a vote on whether to raise and/or appropriate $50,000 for the RSU 5 Withdrawal Committee.

The meeting is at 9 a.m. at Durham Community School.

Other items on the warrant include $306,552 for the Durham Fire and Rescue and purchasing a firetruck for up to $474,000.

Selectmen and the Budget Committee recommend raising $1.05 million for Public Works.

A total of $1.1 million is proposed for road construction and paving.

The proposed appropriation for administrative expenses is $352,409.

There will also be a vote to amend the land use ordinance and to repeal and replace a 2005 Historic District Ordinance.
