OXFORD — Residents approved several ordinances in a special town meeting lasting less than 15 minutes at the Town Office Saturday morning.

About 14 residents voted on the measures.

Longtime resident Ron Kugell was chosen as moderator by attendees.

Residents unanimously voted to approve all four measures presented to them:

• Zoning Ordinance, page 89, paragraphs 1 and 2, regarding a 250-foot setback for a medical marijuana dispensary or cultivation facility from a private residence;

• Zoning Ordinance, page 89, paragraph 3, setting a cap of three medical marijuana dispensaries and/or cultivation facilities in the town;

• Zoning Ordinance, page 51, paragraph T, subparagraph 3, and page 84, defining and regulating use of a recreational vehicle enclosure, stating, “No rigid enclosed addition shall be affixed to a recreational vehicle other than a recreational vehicle accessory enclosure as herein defined”; and

• a new town Outdoor Lighting Ordinance “intended to reduce the problems created by improperly designed and installed outdoor lighting. It is intended to eliminate problems of glare, minimize light trespass, and help reduce the energy and financial costs of outdoor lighting.”
