RUMFORD — Among the calls answered by the Police Department recently were:
* April 3, 5 a.m.: A Smithville Road resident reported a burglary and theft of money and prescriptions. Patrolman James McLamb is investigating.
* April 3, 12:21 a.m.: Dustin S. Daigle, 35, of West Gardiner was arrested and charged with criminal speed, refusing to stop for a law enforcement officer, operating under the influence, and unlawful possession of a drug. He was transported to Oxford County Jail in Paris. His court date is May 9.
* April 2, 12:46 p.m.: Angela Bordeau, 27, of Peru, was arrested on River Street on an outstanding warrant. She was released on $250 cash bail.
* April 2, 12:44 p.m.: A Rumford male reported he had two Xbox game systems stolen from his Spruce Street residence during the night. Cpl. Lawrence Winson was assigned to the case.
* April 1, 10:54 a.m.: Patrolman Brad Gallant is investigating a report of a theft of a bag of bottles from Waldo Street.
* March 31, 2:14 p.m.: A 15-year-old Dixfield boy was arrested on a probation hold after two assaults at an area school. The juvenile was transported to Long Creek Juvenile Detention Center in South Portland. He was issued a issued a summons to appear May 23 in Rumford District Court.
* March 30, 3:58 p.m.: An Erchles Street resident reported items stolen from his vehicle. Sgt. Doug Maifeld is investigating. Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables in plain sight.
* March 30, 1:50 p.m.: Daniel Hatfield, 57, of Rumford, was arrested by Officer McLamb on a charge of operating under the influence, failure to submit to arrest or detention, and assault on a police officer. Hatfield is to appear at 8:30 a.m. June 13 in Rumford District Court.
