RUMFORD — The Pennacook Art Center will open a new art show at 60 Lowell St., showing paintings, drawings and photographs by local artists. The River Valley Growth Council and Pennacook will host a public reception to meet the artists in the tech center lobby,  from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 14.

This show will feature local art historian Adelaide Solomon-Jordan speaking on “The World of Black Art.” Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is available for viewing during the Technology center’s regular office hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
