LEWISTON — The Ramada Inn and Conference Center will host the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s Not Your Normal Formal on Friday, May 6.

This year’s event pays homage to the boisterous decade of fast cars, flappers and marathon dancers from the Roaring ’20s.

The evening opens with a 5:30 p.m. social hour with abundant nibbles and a cash bar (not affected by prohibition). Attendees can enjoy online and silent auctions, as well as a live auction by Daniel Buck Auctions of Lisbon Falls.

Guests have the opportunity to win serious mazuma (money), with more than $5,000 in cash prizes up for grabs and other door prizes. Those interested may go all out and dress to the nines in period garb — fringe galore, short suit jackets and feathered headbands — for the chance to take home the coveted prize for “best dressed” of the evening.
