MECHANIC FALLS — Town officials will hold a public hearing on the proposed $2.4 million municipal budget at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28.

It will be held in the Town Council Chamber at the Municipal Building on Lewiston Street.

The budget, as proposed by the council and recommended by the Budget Committee, calls raising $21,000 less in local property taxes for 2016-17.

Following the hearing, the council will formally adopt a budget to be presented to voters on June 14.
