LEWISTON — No serious injuries were reported, but traffic was snarled on both sides of the river Wednesday when a trio of cars collided on Longley Bridge.
The 4:45 p.m. wreck scattered debris across the roadway and brought rescue crews from both Lewiston and Auburn.
Police said cars driven by Sara Camolli-Braband of Turner, Katana Langlais of Lewiston and Kathryn Skelton of Litchfield collided on the Lewiston end of the bridge.
The cause of the crash was still being investigated Wednesday night. Police said it appeared two of the cars were stopped in traffic when the collision occurred.
Three people were examined for complaints of pain following the wreck, but none required transport to the hospital, police said.
