PORTLAND (WGME) — Portland Police say a 31-year- old man from Veazie was stabbed overnight outside the Denny’s on Brighton Avenue.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the person was taken to Maine Medical Center where he is in stable condition.

The perpetrators fled before police arrived. Police say the incident began as an altercation at PT’s Showclub on Riverside Street. Police say two groups were separated by staff and they left PT’s. They met again in the Denny’s parking lot where the stabbing occurred.

Police are looking to speak with two suspects. They are described as black males, about 5′ 9″, both with short hair.

The incident remains under investigation. Portland Police encourage anyone that witnessed the incident or may know the subjects involved to contact the department at 207-874-8575.
