WILTON — Police said power to homes on High Street was interrupted Monday morning and traffic blocked about an hour after a vehicle went off the road, struck a mailbox and a telephone pole.

Joshua Colby, 44, of Turner was driving a 2005 Ford station wagon east at 7:25 a.m. on High Street, Wilton police officer Brian Lynch said. Colby told police he was on his way to work on the Weld Road and went off the road. He was alone and was not injured.

No charges were filed.

Maine Game Warden Kris MacCabe of Wilton arrived first and helped at the scene. Central Maine Power restored electric service, Lynch said.
