LEWISTON — The board of directors for Common Ties Mental Health Services announces that Karen Bate-Pelletier has been selected as executive director.
She was acting and interim executive director for the agency for eight months prior to the permanent position.
Bate-Pelletier has been with the agency for almost 18 years. Her position prior to the interim role was program director. During her career, she has been charged with overseeing several programs and services of the agency. She provides a solid background in employee retention strategies, policies and procedures, and fundamental understanding of individuals afflicted with major mental health and co-occurring disorders.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mental health and human services from the University of Maine Augusta, where she graduated with honors. She is also a certified mental health rehabilitation technician.
