LEWISTON — Satori, a trio of top-caliber musicians will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Ramada Inn, 490 Pleasant St., Lewiston. Renouned guitarist, singer-songwriter Denny Breau will open for the band. Tickets are $10.

Satori features a mix of original compositions and interpretations of rock and jazz-rock classics from Jeff Beck, Alphonse Mouzon, Eric Johnson, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham, David Grissom, Steve Khan, Bill Frisell, Deep Purple and others.

Laurent Brondel is a musician and guitarmaker originating from Paris, France who has resettled in western Maine, where he makes guitars.  Besides producing his own recordings for Skam Records, Tone Casualties and Strata he also engineered and produced records for Cuong Vu, Myra Melford, Geoffrey Oryema and other jazz / avant-garde / world musicians.

Chuck Thornton is a musician and guitarmaker born in Maine. After living in different parts of the country and studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he came back to his native state and set up shop here. He’s been playing bass for 32 years.

Cameron Lopez was born in California but has deep ties in Maine where he is currently residing. His unique sound is the blending of various styles making up his eclectic taste in music. He graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta jazz and contemporary music program in 2014.
