RUMFORD — Residents of Regional School Unit 10 towns will act on a proposed $38.23 million budget at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Mountain Valley High School.

The 2016-17 spending plan is about 4.2 percent more than the 2015-16 budget. The share paid by member towns is up 2.9 percent from last year.

Ten of the 12 district towns will see an increase in their assessments, if the budget passes as proposed.

Roxbury faces the largest increase, $195,300, because of the valuation of a wind turbine project. Carthage’s increase would be $12,150, because of its recently constructed wind turbine project.

The remaining towns with proposed increases are:

Buckfield, $41,500;
