FARMINGTON — A Dixfield woman was injured and a Wilton man charged following a rear-end crash on Wilton Road on Tuesday, police said.
Candy Welch, 46, was taken by NorthStar ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital complaining of a shoulder injury, Farmington Detective Darin Gilbert said. She was treated and later released, he said.
Welch’s son, Brady, 22, was a passenger and complained of leg pain but was not taken to the hospital, Gilbert said.
Adam Lewia, 23, of Wilton was given a summons on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle, the officer said.
Welch was stopped for a vehicle in front of her that was turning left when Lewia’s 2004 Chevrolet Silverado struck her 2016 Kia Sorento, Gilbert said.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
