LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce will host the first seminar in its HR Thursdays Series.

Hiring For Your Best Fit: Screening to On-Boarding and Everything in Between will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16, in the chamber’s conference room at 415 Lisbon St.

Presenter will be Jay Casavant of Vantage Point Recruiting.

“Hiring for Your Best Fit” is all about understanding the needs of a business or painting a picture of what a business would like to see in new hires. Casavant will cover the search and screening as well as the interview and selection process. Onboarding and retention efforts will also be discussed.

Casavant founded Vantage Point Recruiting after being in the high-tech recruitment business for 22 years. With on-the-ground recruiting experience working in defense, aerospace and semiconductor/electronics industries, he brings a thorough understanding of the region and its unique employment marketplaces to every engagement.
