BURLINGTON, VT. — Two local residents have been named to the University of Vermont Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Melissa Seib, of Bryant Pond, is a Mechanical Engineering major in the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. Abigail Bernier, of South Paris, is an Exercise and Movement Sciences major in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. 

Worcester Polytechnic 

WORCESTER, MASS. — Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Emma-Jane Turton of Mechanic Falls was named to the university’s Dean’s List for academic excellence for the spring 2016 semester. Turton, a member of the class of 2017, is majoring in biology and biotechnology.  

Husson 

BANGOR — The following area students have been named to the Spring 2016 President’s List at Husson University. Students who make the President’s List must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.80 to 4.0 during the period.

Kelsey Valeriano of Harrison is a freshman, currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program.

Cassandra Webster of Hebron is a senior, currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community (MHRT/C) Certification program.

Samantha Marucci of Naples is a sophomore, currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Alan Wardwell of Raymond is a senior, currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Production program.

EASTON, MASS. — Sally C. Littlefield, of Poland, has been named to the Spring 2016 Dean’s List at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. Littlefield, a member of the Class of 2017, is an Education & Psychology major. 

To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Clarkson 

POTSDAM, N.Y. — Nathan Miles Starr, of Oxford, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester at Clarkson University. Starr, a junior, is majoring in engineering & management.

Dean’s List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Lyndon State 

LYNDONVILLE, VT. — Benjamin Lewis, of Bryant Pond, has been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2016 semester at Lyndon State College.
