WALES — Robert Gayton Jr. told fellow members of the Regional School Unit 4 board Wednesday night that the Facilities Committee received two bids to repair the roof at Oak Hill High School and both were incomplete.
He said more information will be needed before a decision is made.
Gayton also said the district is looking at options other than building an addition to Oak Hills Middle School in Sabattus or Carrie Ricker School in Litchfield.
The district would like to have all pre-kindergarten, first and second grades under one roof, he said. Libby-Tozier School in Litchfield and Sabattus Primary School each have all three grades.
Another project that is awaiting more information is repairing the original section of the Sabattus Primary School roof that is over the gym, Gayton said.
In other business, the board advised a Litchfield parent concerned about the number of students who did not graduate Monday that Principal Pat Doyle will report on it at the board’s next meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, in the health room at Oak Hill High School.
Also Wednesday:
* Two students with Jobs for Maine’s Graduates reported on their positive experiences;
* Two sophomores enrolled in the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute presented a video and explained how the program has inspired them; and
* It was announced Superintendent Jim Hodgkin will be honored for his outstanding leadership at the Maine School Superintendents Association Awards Banquet at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
Attending Wednesday’s meeting were Gayton, Hodgkin, board Chairman Bob English and members Nancy Provost, Scott Weeks, Joan Thomas, Jess Smith, Jessica Childs and Adam Dorman. Josh Bisson was absent.
WALES — The Regional School Unit 4 budget referendum will be held Tuesday, June 14, at polling stations in Litchfield, Sabattus and Wales. To be decided are:

* Authorization of up to $200,000 in bonds or loans to install lights at the Oak Hill High School football field.
