LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s next Technology Series workshop, Excel Macros, will be held Wednesday, June 22.
It is for noon to 1:30 p.m. at the chamber conference room, 415 Lisbon St.
William Wade of Dirigo Software Solutions is the presenter. He has been working in the information technology field since he left the Marine Corps in 1998.
The program will help attendees who find themselves constantly cutting and pasting the same cells, day after day or working with spreadsheets that constantly need to be modified. Excel has built in tools to allow users to save actions to perform and then allows users to rerun them.
Those attending will be introduced to the Macro recorder and shown how they can put it to use to save time and frustration. Programming language, Visual Basic for Applications, will also be touched on. This is an introduction to Macros as a feature, but is not an introduction to Excel. Those attending should be comfortable with Excel before attending this class to get the most out of it.
Cost is $25 for members, $50 for nonmembers. For more information or to register, go to: http://business.lametrochamber.com/events.
