WALES — Voters on Tuesday rejected an $18.9 million budget for RSU 4, which includes Sabattus, Litchfield and Wales.
The vote was 465-483.
The budget reflected a 1.84 percent increase over last year, or $341,711, and $422,000 less from the state than last year.
Voters approved continuing the budget validation process for three more years. The vote was 607-307.
They rejected a citizen initiative to add lights to the football field at Oak Hill High School for $200,000 by a vote of 664-305. The money was to come from a loan.
