PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A Maine judge says a New York man will spend two years in prison for a pharmacy robbery in which he stole painkillers.
Prosecutors say 33-year-old Scott McMahon of Orchard Park was also sentenced to three years of supervised release. Court records say McMahon committed the robbery in September 2014 at a pharmacy in Saco.
McMahon handed a pharmacy employee a note demanding Oxycontin. A pharmacist gave him 18 Oxycontin pills, and he left with them. Police tracked McMahon to a Saco motel a half mile away.
McMahon pleaded guilty to the robbery in February.
