1962 – 2016

MINOT — David B. Alexander, 53, of Minot died in the loving arms of his family, at his home on Thursday, June 16, after a short illness.

He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 10, 1962, He was educated in local schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1980. He then went on to proudly serve in The U.S. Coast Guard.

David married his one true love, the former Michelle Grenier, on Aug. 19, 1989. David had been working for Hancock Lumber until his illness would no longer allow.

David was an amazing and loving husband, father and grampa. When his daughter, Ashley, was growing up he was involved in all her activities and even coached her for many years in softball. This continued after his two granddaughters were born, he truly enjoyed being with them and following them in all their activities. He also enjoyed being on his Harley, camping, cooking amazing meals and vacationing in the tropical islands. His raspy voice and funny sense of humor will be missed by so many who knew him.

He leaves his wife, Michelle of Minot; his daughter, Ashley Alexander and her longtime companion, Matt Estes, of Hebron; his mother, Madlyn Atkins of Lewiston; his two granddaughters, Chloe and Sophie of Hebron; a sister, Vicki Lussier of Minot; his three brothers, Tim Alexander of Auburn, Gary Alexander of Lewiston and Scott Alexander and his wife, Donna, of Auburn; his father-in-law, Bob Grenier of Auburn; his mother-in-law, Pauline Grenier and her loving companion, Charlie, of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his stepfather, Wally Atkins; and a brother, Bruce Alexander; and his father, Victor Alexander.
