LEWISTON – Berman & Simmons law firm recently donated $2,000 to support the Tree Street Youth Center’s 50 Day, $50K Challenge. The donation puts Tree Street one step closer to reaching its renovation goal of $1.3 million.

The aim of the challenge is to raise money to update the youth center’s facilities to include a large multi-purpose room, indoor and outdoor recreation areas and a new college/career aspirations center. The renovations and additions will allow for more local students to benefit from the programs offered.

Located at 144 Howe St., Tree Street is home to after-school programs, arts and athletics, summer youth programs, tutoring programs and a program called Becoming Responsible Adults ‘N Cultivating Higher Educational Success.
