AUBURN — A local woman was back in court a year after pleading guilty to misdemeanor charges stemming from a car accident on Oct. 31, 2014.
Sarah Wysocki, 36, of 24 Laurel Ave., was allowed Friday in Androscoggin County Superior Court to withdraw a guilty plea of endangering the welfare of a child, one of two charges she pleaded to in June 2015.
As part of a plea agreement with the Androscoggin County District Attorney’s Office, Wysocki was sentenced only on a charge of driving to endanger. She was fined $575 and her license was suspended for 30 days.
Misdemeanor charges of operating after suspension and disorderly conduct also had been dismissed.
Prosecutors said Wysocki had complied with conditions of her release for the past year that included no use or possession of alcohol and illegal drugs, being subject to random searches and not to be present at any establishment that primarily serves alcohol.
Police said Wysocki was leaving the parking lot of Mac’s Downeast Seafood about 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2014, and turned the wrong way onto Minot Avenue. Several children who were passengers in her car suffered minor injuries when her car collided with a tractor-trailer.
Police said in court records that Wysocki‘s license had been suspended or revoked at the time of the accident for operating under the influence or a drunken driving-related offense.
