Wednesday, Oct. 26 the Oasis of Music presents Scott Vaillancourt who will play selections on tuba?, including Capriccio for solo tuba by Krzystztof Penderecki and four movements from Alec Wilder’s convalescence suite. Vaillancourt is a well-known community musician who is organist and choir director at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, and teaches? tuba at Bowdoin College.  Wednesday’s recital, held at Trinity Church, 247 Bates St., Lewiston, is free and runs from 12:30-1 p.m..
