AUGUSTA (AP) — The attorney for a New York man charged in the Maine shooting deaths of a couple on Christmas morning wants to know what the state is promising the man who allegedly drove him to the scene.
The Kennebec Journal (http://bit.ly/29pVaY1 ) reported that attorney Pamela Ames said Tuesday she anticipates an August hearing on the motion in the case against 30-year-old David Marble Jr.
The Rochester, New York, man has pleaded not guilty to charges of intentional or knowing murder in the deaths of 35-year-old Eric Williams and 26-year-old Bonnie Royer in Manchester on Dec. 25.
A police affidavit names a man as an alleged driver for Marble and alleges he bought two firearms for him.
Ame’s motion filed in May seeks the “disclosure of inducements, immunity and/or promises” to him.
