As I watched the evening news recently about another black person killed by a white policeman, I worried that a response from the black community was imminent.

A few hours later, the news changed, as did the focus of national lament. A black person was killing white police officers, just as I had suspected would happen, but sooner than expected.

Maybe, if police would stop killing people unnecessarily, the inevitable response that was Dallas would be less likely.
