BATH — On Friday, Aug. 5, the summer will get hotter and it has nothing to do with the weather forecast. Red Hot & Ladylike and Bath’s own Wicked Burlesque dance troupes will dance the Summer Sizzle Burlesque Show on the main stage of the Chocolate Church Arts Center, 804 Washington St. 

Burlesque, a suggestive performance style first introduced to American stages in the 1800s, has seen a robust resurgence in the U.S. in the last several years. The Summer Sizzle Show is a modern, risqué version that will take the audience on a provocative journey for adults. Guest artists include Haremstella and Tribe.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; show begins at 8:30. Adult beverages will be available.  VIP seating (including special gift bag) available for $20; advance tickets are $12, $15 at the door.
