LEWISTON — The 2016 Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club Criterium will be held in the downtown area Sunday starting at 9:30 a.m. until about 2:30 p.m.
Cyclists will race laps around a mile-long course that starts and stops on Ash Street in front of the post office. From there, the course turns left on Park Street, left on Spruce, left on Bates and left back to Ash Street.
Parking and driving on those streets will be restricted during the race, and course marshals and police will be on site for traffic control.
Race times are as follows:
• 9:30 a.m. — First men’s race, lasting 45 minutes;
• 10:20 a.m. — Race for juniors;
• 11:10 a.m. — Waves for women;
• Noon — Kid’s race;
• 12:35 p.m. — Masters men’s race; and
• 1:30 p.m. — Pro men’s race, scheduled to last an hour.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Auburn-Lewiston.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to use caution in the area during race day.
