WOODSTOCK — The Board of Selectmen has rescheduled its Tuesday, Aug. 2, meeting to Monday, Aug. 1, Town Manager Vern Maxfield said.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Woodstock Town Office.
Maxfield said he will update selectmen on the deconstruction of the Union Church building.
The church, which sits on 0.6 acres, was built in 1856 and has not been used for decades. The original contents have been removed.
The town formed a committee and in 2014 agreed that the building should be removed and the land used for a parking lot and a memorial. For more than a year, the board has been looking for a person or a business to remove the building.
Maxfield said at a previous meeting that Ted Morse of West Paris expressed an interest in removing the building for materials.
Other items on the agenda include:
* Bid notice for Redding Road snow and sand contract;
* 2016 tax commitment and mill rate;
* Addressing an abatement request;
* Concord Pond Road culvert work and temporary road closing notice.
