WEST PARIS — The Board of Selectmen on Thursday approved five residential and business tax abatements totaling $2,597.39.
All abatements were approved by a vote of 2-0 by Selectmen Peter Collette and Randy Jones. Selectman Dennis Henderson was not at the meeting.
Stephen Immonen received an abatement for $33.34 for personal property.
A $1,990.17 abatement was approved for C.N. Brown for the Trap Corner Restaurant building that was torn down in 2015.
Gary and Lyn Andrews received an abatement for $131.62 for buildings torn down before April 1, and Robert and Maureen Ilsley received an abatement for $408.91 for the same reason.
The town received a $33.35 abatement because of an issue with the TRiO software it uses.
