AUBURN — Ben Roberts will host Cafe LA’s fourth free comic showcase of the summer at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.

Peter Ouellette of Lewiston will warm up the crowd as a tune-up for The Great Falls Balloon Fest, at which he will be featured on Aug 20.

Owen Kane, another local and active comic, will keep the night rolling. Kane was recently seen in Ian Stuart’s sketch “Dude Scout Cookies” on funnyordie.com.

Jamie Roux, frequent contributor to the Bangor Daily News and Portland Press Herald, will also perform.

Mark Reilly, who represented Maine comedy at Laugh Boston’s World Series of Comedy event, will follow.

Closing out the night will be Mike Johnson, who recently moved back to Maine after living for more than three years in Chicago. Johnson recorded the live album “Maine’tainin” and had a great showing in the Portland comedy festivals’ professional competition.
