BUCKFIELD — Selectmen recessed their meeting for a second time on Tuesday morning, delaying a recommendation on a forklift because not all the models town employees wanted to test drive had arrived, Town Manager Cindy Dunn said.

Buckfield selectmen originally recessed their meeting from Tuesday, Aug. 16, to allow employees to test drive three forklifts.

One at the Buckfield-Sumner Transfer Station stopped working recently and Dunn previously said it would cost roughly $12,000 to repair.

Dunn said one forklift from Massachusetts hadn’t arrived yet. The two that were tested had “a couple of mechanical issues.”

“I will contact companies and see if they can come up and address them,” Dunn said.

Selectmen recessed their meeting until 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1.
