LIVERMORE — Selectpersons voted Tuesday night to keep the tax rate at $16 per thousand dollars of assessed property value for 2016-17.
Based on the 2016 Municipal Tax Rate Calculation Form, Livermore’s assessments are $205,601 for county taxes, $1.86 million for municipal government, and $1.89 million for Regional School Unit 73. The total is $3.06 million.
Subtracting amounts for state revenue sharing, $84,271, and other revenues, $900,491, leaves a balance of $2.98 million to raised by local property taxes.
Administrative Assistant and Treasurer Amy Byron said keeping the rate the same would cover any abatements and any emergencies.
