RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of Avis Marie Arsenault was celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Nathan March was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist.
Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Because the Lord is my Shepherd,” “Ave Maria” and “Let There Be Peace On Earth.” The Old Testament was proclaimed by Jayne Arsenault. The New Testament was proclaimed by Mechell Smith. Prayer of the Faithful was offered by Melissa Carrier. Personal reflections were shared by son-in-law Andrew Nadeau.
Interment will be in the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery Augusta. Pallbearers were DJ Glover, Brian Glover, Levi Glover, Courtney Ellis, Lee Arsenault and Daniel Aleck. A reception catered by S.G. Thibault Funeral Home was served by the Daughters of Isabella in the parish hall.
Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Cremation & Monument Services, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
