On Sunday, Sept. 4, at 3 p.m., The DaPonte String Quartet’s “Leaf Peeper” series takes the audience back in time—and place—with performances  of Beethoven’s String Quartet in E Minor, Op. 59 No. 2,  and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in F Minor, Op. 80 in the First Baptist Church on Paris Hill road.  Built in 1838, the church retains its Paul Revere Bell, and is in the process  of being restored throughout.
