LEWISTON — Organist Randy Mullin, accompanied by the Norumbega Brass Ensemble, will hold a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 122 Ash St.

It is free and open to the public. Donations to restore the basilica’s Casavant organ will be accepted.

Mullin, a native of Columbus, Georgia, received bachelor and master of music degrees in organ from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. In 1970, he was appointed associate director of music at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Baltimore. From 1975 to 2003, he was organist and choirmaster at St. David’s in Baltimore. He is currently a freelance musician living in southern Maine.

Mullin has performed throughout the country and has been a member of the faculty of Royal School of Church Music.

His website www.randallmullin.com contains more than 100 of his recordings and he has nearly 60 high definition videos on YouTube. He has written tutorials for the Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe Organ, a computer program that allows organists to play virtual replicas of exceptional pipe organs found throughout the world.
