PARIS — A meeting of the state’s commission on education reform has been postponed from Sept. 12 to Sept. 26.
It will convene at 9 a.m. at the Central Administration Office, 232 Main St.
SAD 17 Superintendent Rick Colpitts said Robert Hasson, the commission chairman, requested more time to prepare for the meeting. It will be open to the public, Colpitts said.
The 15-member Commission to Reform Public Education Funding and Improve Student Performance in Maine was created by the Legislature and mandated to submit a report to the governor and the Legislature by Jan. 10, 2017.
Future meetings
The next Blue Ribbon Commission meeting is set for Monday, Oct. 17, at the Lewiston Regional Technical Center, 156 East Ave., Lewiston.
Others have been scheduled but not sited yet:
Monday, Oct. 31, location yet to be determined.
Monday, Nov. 28, location yet to be determined.
Monday, Dec. 12, location yet to be determined.
