POLAND — Katriana Pratt scored a goal and set up another as Poland defeated Traip 2-1 in girls’ soccer action Monday.

Pratt’s unassisted goal gave the Knights a 1-0 lead in the opening half, but seven minutes later, Traip’s Grace Robillard tied the game with an unassisted tally of her own. Pratt then connected with Sophia Vallee for the go-ahead goal with a little less than nine minutes remaining in the first half.

Neither team added a goal after halftime.

“I thought we came out and played well,” Poland coach Tim Dolley said. “It was a good back-and-forth game.”

Poland (2-6) goalkeeper Madison Simard stopped 10 shots in the win, while Sommer Huntress made six saves for Traip (3-5).

Traip won the JV matchup, 3-2.

Boys’ soccer

Mt. Abram 2, Wiscasset 0

SALEM — Tyson Hill and Jonathan Jordan scored a goal in each half and the Mt. Abram defense earned its fourth shutout of the season in a 2-0 defeat of Wiscasset in boys’ soccer action Monday.

Roadrunners (4-2-1) goalkeeper Xavier Romanoski made saved all 11 shots he faced. Wiscasset’s (4-4) Aidan Carlson, meanwhile, made nine saves.

Field hockey

Brunswick 3, Lewiston 1

BRUNSWICK — Shea Sullivan netted two goals to lead Brunswich to a 3-1 KVAC field hockey victory over Lewiston on Monday.

Sullivan scored once in the first half, giving the Dragons (4-6) a 1-0 lead at the break. Sullivan and Hannah Esco both scored in the second half.

Lewiston’s (1-9) lone goal was scored by Kasey Talarico.

Blue Devils goalkeeper Ashley Cronkhite made 10 saves, while Ainsley Harrower stopped eight shots for the Dragons.

Kennebunk 2, Poland 0

POLAND — Kennebunk found the back of the net twice in each half in its 2-0 shutout of Poland in field hockey action Monday.

Lindsey Gregoire and Grace Grenier each scored for the Rams, who improved to 8-2.

Knights (5-4-1) goalie Ashton Sturtevant faced 13 shots and blocked 11. Kennebunk’s Liv Kudas made five saves.
