WILTON — A bicyclist received minor injuries Tuesday when his bike was hit by a motorcycle on Pond Road.
Gary Fleury, 52, of Livermore was driving a 2007 Harley-Davidson north on Pond Road at about 3:45 p.m. when he attempted a left turn into 323 Pond Road, Wilton police officer Derek Daley said. Because of the sun glare, Fleury did not see the bicycle traveling south on Pond Road and hit Michael Burke, 53, of Wilton, Daley said.
Burke had lacerations and minor injuries and was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital by a NorthStar ambulance, Daley said.
Burke was wearing a helmet and was apparently thrown from the bicycle. The bicycle was not damaged, Daley said.
Fleury was not injured.
Photos show the sun glare at the time was a factor in the accident, he said.
