1931 – 2016

LEWISTON — Lauretta M. Carbonneau, 84, of Lewiston, died Thursday, Sept. 29, at Androscoggin Home Care Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 10, 1931, the daughter of the late Otis and Aline Roy Comeau. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1950. Lauretta worked at Grant’s Clothing Store, St. Croix Credit Union and Clover Manor. On May 11, 1957, she married H. Paul Carbonneau. She enjoyed being a wife to Paul, a mother to their four children and a grandmother to her six grandchildren.

As an active member of her church, she was a CCD teacher and a member of the Sodality of St. Anne and many prayer groups. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lauretta loved roses, butterflies and spending time at the ocean.

Lauretta is survived by her loving husband, H. Paul, of 59 years, also of Lewiston; son, Andre Carbonneau and partner, Kathleen Libby, of Auburn; daughter, Anne Killam and husband, Glen, of Contoocook, N.H.; daughter, Suzanne Davis and husband, John, of Mechanic Falls; and a son, Louis Carbonneau and wife, Marci Phillips, of New York; a sister, Annette Plourde of Birmingham, Ala.; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by two sisters, Florence St. Hilaire and Lucille Comeau; five brothers, Gerard, Laureat, Joseph, Raymond and Robert Comeau; and one granddaughter, Hope Anne Killam.
