BETHEL —Marissa Crosby scored four goals to lead Mountain Valley to an 11-0 road win over Telstar in an MVC field hockey game Wednesday.
Alyvia Lee scored a hat trick with three goals, Chelsea Allison had two, and Avery Sevigney and Liza White each added one. Leigha Carrier and Kassie Thibodeau notched assists for the Falcons (4-8).
Perry Morton made 32 saves in goal for the Rebels (0-12).

Locals shine at MVC Qualifier
VASSALBORO — Winthrop’s Charlie de Haas had the second-lowest score of the day, but that was enough for the Rambler to punch his ticket to the Class C golf individual state championship. De Haas carded a 76 at Wednesday’s MVC Inidividual Qualifier at Natanis Golf Course’s Arrowhead course.
Mitchell Tarrio of Kents Hills had the top score, with a 72. Other local boys’ players that made the cut for the individual state championship were: Dirigo’s Mike Kersey (78), Jacob Gaudin (79) and Mason Corriveau (89); Winthrop’s Zac Robertson (79) and Brogan Plossay (85); Telstar’s Russell Cushman (86); and Monmouth’s Trevor Flannagan (87).
Local girls to qualify were Lisbon’s Valerie Doucette (89) and Dirigo’s Greta Friburger (100).
