MINOT — Retired police officer Mark Nickerson and retired game warden John Ford Sr. recently addressed the Hebron and Minot historical societies at a combined event at the West Minot Grange Hall.

Following a potluck dinner, the officers told comical stories about their job experiences. Both have written multiple books, copies of which they signed after their presentation.

The next Hebron Historical Society meeting will feature author Walt Bannon speaking on his mother’s resistance in Belgium during World War II. He will detail the story with the highlights from his book “The White Pocketbook.”

The event will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the Town Office, 351 Paris Road. The public is invited.
