Maine Oxy officially opened the doors to its flagship retail location at the newly renovated Winter building on Washington Street North in Auburn on Friday afternoon. The building was originally built in 1908 and housed the Union Box & Lumber Co. In 1943, businessman Frank Winter established Auburn’s vocational/trade school in the building, later becoming the Winter Scientific Institute. Maine Oxy bought the building in 2011 and finished renovations earlier this year.
