PETALUMA, California — The board of directors of the Institute of Noetic Sciences announces the appointment of Claire Lachance to chief executive officer.

Previously board chairwoman at IONS, Lachance will devote her focus to advancing the strategic vision and long-term sustainability of IONS. She is a Lewiston native and a 1985 graduate of Lewiston High School.

Prior to joining IONS, she was founder and president of Inspiration Quest, where she delivered comprehensive management consulting, facilitation, training and coaching services to hundreds of organizations, social entrepreneurs and independent professionals. She earned a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor of arts from Tufts University.
