BREWER — Edward Little spread the ball around, using four different goal scorers in a 4-3 victory over Brewer in a KVAC boys’ soccer contest Friday.

Jacob Kyajohnian, Christian Beliveau, Safi Ahmed and Jarod Norcross Plourde each scored in the victory. Joel Musese had two assists and Nick Hathway had an assist for the Red Eddies (10-2-1).

Isaac Small had a hat trick for Brewer (5-6-2).

Owen Mower had three saves for EL ,while Drew Baker had four for Brewer.

Messalonskee 5, Mt. Blue 2

FARMINGTON — James Kouletisis had four goals to lead the Messalonskee Eagles to a 5-2 victory over the Mt. Blue Cougars in a boys’ KVAC soccer contest.

Jack Moore had a goal and an assist for the Eagles (7-4-2), while Chase Warren made four saves.

Sam Smith and Tristan McFarlane each scored for the Cougars (2-9-3). Tucker Carleton made three saves in the losing effort.

Vinalhaven 3, Rangeley 1

VINALHAVEN — Max Stanley scored the game-winning goal as Vinalhaven earned a 3-1 victory over Rangeley in boys’ soccer action Friday afternoon.

Stanley scored his tally from outside the 18-yard line to put the Vikings up 2-1 in the second half.

Ricky Thompson converted a relay from Carl Trafton in the first half for the only Lakers’ (4-6-2) goal in the matchup.

Goalie Hunter Lowell made 10 saves for Rangeley, while Isles Blackington prevented 10 to earn the win in net for Vinalhaven.

Girls’ soccer

Hampden 1, Lewiston 0

LEWISTON — Aubra Linn scored off a corner with 36:12 remaining in regulation as Hampden toppled Lewiston 1-0 in girls’ soccer action Friday afternoon.

The Broncos (6-6-1) bested the Blue Devils (6-4-3) in shots (9-7) and corners (9-2).

Goalie Kallie May made eight saves for Lewiston, while goalkeeper Emily Dysart stopped seven to earn the win in net for Hampden.

Edward Little 0, Brewer 0 (2OT)

AUBURN — Edward Little and Brewer played to a double-overtime scoreless tie in girls’ soccer action Friday afternoon.

The Red Eddies (7-3-3) and Wtiches (7-5-1) smacked the post a couple of times each, but failed to put the ball in the cage in a back-and-forth contest.

Goalie Mandy Cuskelly made 10 saves for Brewer, while goalkeeper Taylor Depot fended off six for Edward Little.
